WELCOME TO THE 2009 - 2010 SCHOOL YEAR!
You are now a member of this great organization through your child being enrolled in the Upper Arlington High School vocal music program.

This year promises to be another great season of vocal music. Choir students will be involved in the Fall Follies production of "Americana", the annual winter and spring concerts, OMEA adjudicated events, have the opportunity to participate in the winter musical of "West Side Story", and additional classroom workshops with Jazz Pianist Tom Scott.

As always, we welcome your involvement as a volunteer. "Many hands make light work", and we need many hands to produce all of the events and works that are happening this year.

Please join us in volunteering at concessions, in ushering, helping at ticket sales, setting up lobby decorations, being a salesperson for the ENCORE!, or working on the publicity of a show. You can also contribute by becoming a benefactor of the ENCORE! Program. We need your help!

The Vocal Music Boosters produce ENCORE! as our printed program that is given out at all vocal performances throughout the entire school year. In addition, UAVMB maintains a UAHS vocal music website and all vocal music information, forms etc. can be found on our website at www.uavocalmusic.org

You can find out about all of the opportunities that await your involvement, or just join us to find out more about the yearly schedule at our UAVMB meetings. Our first one is Monday, September 14, 2009 at 7:30 pm in Room 181 at the High School. We meet every 2nd Monday of the month. Mark your calendars!

We would also like to announce that this year there will be ticket sales available on line and we will be accepting credit card payments for Fall Follies and the Musical. There will still be box office times at Upper Arlington High School.

I look forward to meeting and working with all of you this year,

Mary Griffith
President
Vocal Music Boosters
