The Symphonic Choir will take an educational performace tour to New York City from
April 8 - 12.
The tour will allow the students to perform literature in some the world’s most famous cathedrals.
Along the way we plan to give four performances with one of them involving an exchange concert
with a high school choir in
the Philadelphia suburbs.
The 5-day tour will allow the
students to visit and perform in environments that cannot be recreated in central Ohio. The tour
provides national exposure for the city of Upper Arlington, the school system, and the music
department. This wonderful educational experience is designed to provide a lifetime of memories for the

Order a DVD of the Mary Poppins
From The Upper Arlington News, February 11, 2015:
Upper Arlington students will bring audiences a "slightly darker" version of Mary
Poppins based on the children's book series by P.L. Travers. The script was written
by Julian Fellowes, creator of the PBS television series Downton Abbey.
Director Eric Kauffman said the stage version is based on the books and the 1964 Disney movie, but
is closer in tone to the books. It also brings back elements originally removed from the movie, such as
a walking statue, the addition of rival nanny Miss Andrew and ladders rising to the stars. In the stage
version, Mary Poppins is more sharp-tongued with a "tough love" approach to parenting at times.
PERFORMANCES: Performances will
be staged at 7:30 p.m. February 19, 20 and 21 and at 2:30 p.m. February 22 in the Upper Arlington High
School auditorium, 1650 Ridgeview Road.
TICKETS: General admission tickets may be
purchased online at uavocalmusic.org by credit card for $10 for open
seating or $12 to $16 for reserved selected seats.
People can also call 614-487-5240, ext. 7464, for ticket information. Group rates
Tickets at the door must be paid for with cash or check
